That’s a wrap! What a wedding to end of our 2009/2010 wedding season. The venue, the couple the atmosphere, just WOW! The wedding took place at the old Botshabelo village near Middelburg. Photographing a couple in a village established in the 1860’s was just enough to make this one of my most memorable weddings. A Little Vintage

This was my first wedding at Waterfall Safari Lodge near Middelburg Mpumalanga. When I arrived at the venue I just knew its going to be a blast. This is Zandri & Jean’s biggest day. What a pleasure it was to work with them. Zandri & Jean came all the way from Port Elizabeth to get married in Secunda. I had my work cut out for me as our area is not as photo friendly as the eastern cape. It does not matter were you photograph these two they will always look stunning in any picture! This wedding had it all, sunshine, thunderstorms, beautiful venue, excellent food and of course a stunning couple. The wedding took place at Grasslands in Bethal and is still one of my favourite venues in our area. Just as we started the couple shoot a big storm closed in on us. This did not stop us from shooting and we had a total rush during and after the storm. What a great day!

It is not every day I get to shoot something way different than what I normally shoot. That is why I love doing lifestyle photography. Jacques has a herd of Nguni cattle just outside Secunda and asked me to do a photo shoot with him and his cattle. Now this was a challenge I will not refuse. To mix things up a bit Annette also joined us and just look at the love between these two.

Hi, I am Hannes and I am your photographer. That is how the wedding started as I have never met Caroline or Hennie before. Caroline and Hennie came all the way from Gauteng to tie the knot here in Mpumalanga. They fell in love with the beautiful chapel at Rhino Lodge and decided that they want to get married here one day. Well today it was that day. It was a small morning wedding followed by a quick romantic couple shoot and ended off with a nice brunch. This was my last wedding for 2010 and could not ask for a better one to close off the year. Today wasn’t just another wedding. Today was an adventure. What an absolute stunning wedding. I have never experience so much love and kindness at any wedding and must say I am stunned. The wedding ceremony took place in Ermelo and the reception at Bluegum Country Lodge Bethal. We planned a shoot on a farm between the two towns but heavy rains battered our plans. We finally found a hole in the clouds (only for a few minutes) for the creative shoot and we got some dramatic skies to work with. A warm stylish reception greeted us with great food, good music (Dieter you Rock!!) and great hospitality. Thanks Stephnie and Riaan for making us part of your special day!

Ankia & Gerhard decided on a small intimate wedding in the small town of Van Reenen. Often on our way to Durban we just rush past this town or stop to stretch the legs until recently... You will find the smallest church in South Africa that can accommodate 8 people. There was hardly any space to work in as it was the fullest wedding ceremony I have ever experienced :) The ceremony was followed by a lovely lunch and then a late afternoon shoot with the wedding couple. We couldn't ask for more as we had some stunning views of the Drakensburg to work with. Thanks Ankia and Gerhard!

What a wedding to start the 2011/2012 wedding season, all I can say is WOW! No need to go to the western province for a cape wedding. One can find a “mini” cape venue right here in Pretoria. Kleinkaap is a beautiful peaceful venue with a real cape feel to it. Normally I try to meet the bridal couple before the wedding but its not always possible. Today was the first time I’ve met Anneke and Andrew and I was so amazed how natural and comfortable they were in front of the camera. Well done you two, you are stunning and I hope you have a wonderful life together.

WOW!! What a 2011 it has been. This was my last wedding for this year and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding to wrap it up! Today was Jan and his gorgeous bride’s big day at the stunning venue The Moon And Sixpence in Muldersdrift. It was a day full of laughter, love and friendship and feel so blessed to be part of it. We also introduced a second photographer to our goody bag, but more of this to come in 2012.

A dream come true... I have always wanted to photograph a wedding on a beach, today my wish came true. On our way down to George I had a million things running through my head of certain shots I want to capture and knew I had limited time to do it all. Lucky me I had a couple Like Clarisa and Shaun who made it so easy for me with their funny and loving personalities. The ceremony took place on the lonely Outeniqua beach between George and Mosselbay in the Western Cape. Thank you so much for making my dream come true!!

When I met Natasha and George for the first time I just knew this is going to be a wedding to remember, and boy was I right. Everything was just perfect, from the reception details to the weather, everything just WOW! The wedding took place in Secunda and the reception was held at Graceland Casino. If you are looking for a wedding venue, book this one now. In all my years of photographing weddings I have never came across a venue like Florence Guest Farm and wedding venue in Chrissiesmeer. Two words, absolutely stunning!! Today Ruanette and Marius was the second couple to get married at this new venue and of course the privilege was mine to capture the special moments. Above all my raving about the venue I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to share the day with. Thanks Ruanette and Marius, this was one unforgettable day and thank you for making us part of it!!
